DISCIPLES
for JESUS CHRIST ™

In January 2005 we began the project of adding The Livingston Institute Ministries to the Livingston Institute, Inc.  One of the reasons for the addition is to be able to offer  Disciples for Jesus Christ as part of our educational and research programs.

Disciples for Jesus Christ is not a religion, it is a world movement. Of the over 25,000 Deities* in the world 
 not one of them have performed on the same level as Jesus Christ.
*( Any supernatural being worshipped as controlling some part of the world or 
some aspect of life or who is the personification of a force ) 

Jesus Christ lived for us, died for us and rose from the dead to show that He was all He claimed to be. 
By conquering death, He showed all of us that He can save us from our sins, 
He can live His life through us on earth and He can safely bring any of us to heaven.

He offers Himself as a gift to anyone who will trust Him ( John 20:24-31 ).

Jesus Christ is a Person who knows our needs, feels our pain, and sympathizes with our weakness. For those who trust in Him, He offers to forgive our sins, to intercede for us and to bring us to His Father. “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” ( John 14:6 ). “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved.” ( John 10:9 ).

Religion can be believing in God, attending religious services, taking catechism, being baptized, and receiving communion. Religion can be tradition, ritual, ceremony, and learning the difference between right and wrong. Religion can be reading and memorizing Scripture, offering prayers, giving to the poor, and celebrating religious holy days.

Religion can be singing in the choir, helping the poor, and making amends for past wrongs. Religion was practiced by the Pharisees, those Scripture-loving, conservative, separatist, spiritual leaders who hated Christ enough to call for His death. They hated Him not only because He broke their traditions in order to help people ( Matthew 15:1-9 ) but because He saw through their religion to their hearts.

Disciples for Jesus Christ is a movement who’s main function is to treat others with dignity, listen to their cries for help and help them in anyway possible, one person at a time. In fact, all we ask of our disciples is that they take time to assist one person per day to feel better, to solve a challenge, to right a wrong or just to bring a ray of sunshine into their life.

Any person can become a Disciple for Jesus Christ. They continue to practice their faith no matter what their faith is and continue to assist one person per day in some small way. No meetings are required and all the other traditional activities of a church or religion are not required. We simply want to make life a little easier for all people of this earth.

Dr. Samuel Shoemaker, a prominent American churchman, said, 
"Religion can never be the answer to human problems. All of the religions of the world are inadequate.
Christ alone is the answer. Christ alone understands. Christ alone forgives. Christ alone eliminates your guilt. Christ alone saves and then assures you that you are God's child and the most wonderful person possible! Christ alone fills the human heart with love-joy-peace and self-confidence. 
No wonder a genuine Christian really loves himself."
